Today, like every Sunday since a couple of months, we attended Kannawakai, the online salon of Nawashi Kanna Sensei.
In particular, we have reviewed a pattern which, due to its difficulty, is not often tied, not even in Japan, and which Akechi Denki called with the name of Ushiro-te Kannon, in honor of the Goddess of mercy Kannon.
Kannon is the Goddess of mercy and this tie imitates the Goddess with her hands tied behind her back in prayer. It is also known as “Ushirode-gassho shibari”, but in the west it is better known as “reverse prayer”.
